Marie Colomb is THE revelation of “Culte”, the behind-the-scenes series of “Loft Story” which is a hit on Amazon Prime Video. To play Loana, she underwent an incredible physical transformation.
Since October 18, the whole of France has had its eyes glued to Prime Video’s latest creation, Worship. A series which looks back on the success of the very first French reality TV, which appeared on our screens in 2001, Loft Story. A program which launched the genre in France but which, at the time, shocked many viewers.
“It’s all fake!” : the incredible physical transformation of Marie Colomb to become Loana
In the role of Loana, a young actress of 29 years old: Marie Colomb. Asked by TV 7 days on this incarnation like no other, the actress immediately recognized that, despite the honor of the mission, she had been afraid of not pleasing the main person concerned. And for good reason, according to her, it is “always complicated to play a famous personality”. But that doesn’t matter, the one we saw in the series Follow in 2023 is not afraid of challenges. Not even an impressive physical transformation!
To transform into Loana, Marie Colomb spent hours on makeup. Because, if in the series, their resemblance is uncanny, in real life, the two women have nothing in common, not even hair color! “It’s all fake!”she actually confided to TV 7 days. “The breasts you see in the series are not mine! I had to wear prosthetics or padded underwear”she continued. Before adding: “They shaved part of my eyebrows, bleached my hair…”. And to conclude: “My body was artificially tanned every day, I wore a lot of makeup. And I wore contact lenses like Loana at the time“.
How did Marie Colomb prepare to play Loana?
A role which also required extensive preparation from Marie Colomb. As she admitted to journalists, she had to watch all the daily newspapers of Loft Storyand all prime time of the time to slip into the skin of the character as best as possible. “I also worked with a coach: I had to find her voice, which is very different from mine, but also her approach…”she also explained. Quite a program!
And Loana, what does she think? The winner of the cult M6 show reacted to Here is. “I hate her but I think she represents me well, it’s difficult. She looks a lot like me, it’s really true. It’s my double!“, she confided, she who has been silent for months and once again has big money problems.
