Denise Fabre lives in Paris for a large part of the year. But when she needs to recharge her batteries, it is in this city dear to her heart that the former announcer finds refuge…

At 83 years old, Denise Fabre does not lack dynamism! The former speaker recently joined Christian Estrosi’s list for the municipal elections in Nice. And for good reason, his love affair with this city has lasted for a long time…

Denise Fabre, her “paradise on earth”: “People talk to me a lot about Nice…”

Denise Fabre, a native of Nice, moved to Paris at the age of 21 and was immediately seduced by the capital. But she never forgot her hometown, on the contrary! “For family reasons, I am more often in Paris but people talk to me a lot about Nice, about this miracle of Nice.“, she confided in a video shared on social networks by Christian Estrosi, with whom she has been close for years.

Her twin daughters, Olivia and Elodie, aged 45 and born from her union with chef Francis Vandenhende, live in the Paris region and she wants to spend as much time as possible with them, but Nice remains her haven of peace at all times and she has a base there, near the port. The host is full of praise for this city so dear to her heart: “One day someone said long before us, and it is even more true today, and it will be even more true tomorrow: ‘If there is a paradise on earth, well, it is in Nice.‘”.

When she is in the French City of Angels, Denise Fabre takes real pleasure in strolling through the old center, going to the market and tasting local specialties, and talking with onlookers who consider her an icon of Nice.

Denise Fabre, “Niçoise for several generations”: “I have this city in my veins”

This is not the first time that she has become politically involved in the city of Nice. A few years ago, the former speaker became a municipal councilor and deputy for the city’s influence and image, before retiring in 2020 to devote herself to her family life and her grandchildren.

“What matters to me is Nice. I want to give back to the people of Nice what they gave me. I have been from Nice for several generations, I have this city in my veins! I find my roots there, I have my family there“, she assured in 2014 to Parisian.
