May will be festive, especially for women who are called thus.
“In May, do what you like!” This proverb makes this month rather pleasant this month, especially thanks to the gentle temperatures that warm up. Indeed, at this time of year, spring is already present and gives way to the happiness of seeing our gardens and green spaces flourish. May is also the month which brings together the whole family: the May bridges are, from May 1ᵉʳ with the Labor Day, the opportunity to organize extended weekends with the children. Two other public holidays punctuate this exceptional month: Thursday, May 8 with the 1945 victory festival, as well as the ascent that takes place on Thursday, May 29.
And that’s not all, another date is not to be missed in this month of May: Mother’s Day that falls this year on May 25, 2025. The date is not always the same since it generally falls on the last Sunday of the month. Nevertheless, when this date coincides with that of Pentecost, Mother’s Day was then pushed back to the first Sunday in June, as was the case in 2023, where we celebrate the moms on Sunday, June 4 …
This year, May 25, we are also celebrating the Holy Sophie! Consequently, the Sophie who are mothers will celebrate two events on the same day: that of the first name as well as Mother’s Day!
If this is your case, take the opportunity to please yourself and anticipate to pose the days of leave that you have left before the end of May! This opportunity is not often presented, since last year, Mother’s Day took place on May 26, the day of Saint Béranger … Next year, it will be the Perrine who will be doubled in the spotlight, on May 31, 2026.
