Between children sniffing out gift wrap and spouses who are a little too curious, hiding surprises becomes an almost military mission. However, a mother shared on the networks an idea so obvious that it won over thousands of parents.
Indeed, as soon as the first decorations appear, the hunt for the right hiding place begins. And it often turns into defeat. The cupboards are searched, the beds inspected, the attic becomes suspicious. Children have flair, teenagers have perseverance and adults end up wondering why they didn’t just wait until December 24 to buy their gifts. It was this observation that pushed a British mother to share online an idea passed on by a friend, which has since become a revelation for many parents. She says that this method “changed her life” and thanks the one who introduced her to “the best hideout of all”.
In a short video, she shows how she carefully stores her packages in an everyday object that everyone has at home. Internet users can’t believe it. “It’s genius,” exclaims a user. Another admits to having thought about it recently and says she has “two full already”. A third is ironic: “I’ve been doing this for years.” Result: more than 7,000 likes and thousands of comments saluting the tip. With this combination, there is no need for large space or complicated organization. The principle is based on a well-tidy object, which often sits in the entrance, at the bottom of a cupboard or under a bed… it is quite simply a suitcase.
At the same time, some share their own techniques: a father explains hiding gifts in the trunk of his bed, which his children think is reserved for sheets and towels. One mother says she stores gifts with trusted neighbors to avoid arousing suspicion at home. Regarding the suitcase, the ideal is to have a large model available and not the cabin version. The good news is that you will only have to roll it under the tree on the big day to install everything. Practical, right?
