Nothing worse than losing your first day of vacation stuck on the highway. To leave the light mind, press yourself on the fucked bison forecasts before hitting the road this summer!
Finding yourself blocked in traffic jams is an experience that many vacationers fear when they hit the road. If some slowdowns are short -lived, others stretch several kilometers, especially on the main axes often saturated. When we find ourselves trapped in this kind of situation, we know in advance that we will not get out quickly. Staying locked up in a car without moving forward can become a real ordeal, especially for young children. To avoid this type of inconvenience, many drivers are turning to the forecast of smart bison as the school holidays approaches.
Some even go so far as to plan their departures according to these recommendations. Each start of the year, Bison Futé publishes an annual calendar with its first estimates on traffic conditions. Although this data is refined over the months, they constitute a good benchmark to identify the days with high traffic. The classification system is based on a simple color code: green for fluid traffic, orange for notable slowdowns, red for significant difficulties, and black for “extremely difficult circulation conditions”.
If you plan to take the road this summer to go to your vacation spot, some days promise to be particularly critical, according to forecasts from the National Road Information Center. A particular date, on Saturday August 2, 2025, is classified black in the direction of departures, for all areas of Futé Bison (Île-de-France, Grand-Ouest and Nord, Burgundy and East, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Southwest, and the Mediterranean Arc). It corresponds to one of the most loaded days of the year, marked by the crossing of vacationers in July and August. In the calendar, there is also a second date to remember: Saturday July 12, 2025 which is also classified black in the direction of departures, but only for zone 4, namely Auvergne and Rhône-Alpes. Unsurprisingly, the start of school holidays, on Saturday July 5, 2025, is already classified red in the direction of departures.
For returns, Saturday July 26 alternates between Orange and Red, in particular on the Mediterranean arc, just like Saturday August 2. Saturday August 16 displays a widespread red level throughout the territory. Finally, Saturday August 23, oscillates between red and black, a sign of traffic which promises to be particularly loaded. In any case, stay very vigilant on the road this summer!
