It is this December 6 that the final of Miss France 2026 will be held. And TF1 viewers will once again be able to count on Jean-Pierre Foucault to host the evening. The latter will have to deal with new constraints.
The time has (already) come for Angélique Angarni-Filopon to surrender her crown. One of the 30 candidates in the beauty contest will be crowned Miss France 2026, from the Zénith d’Amiens, on December 6 live on TF1. And it is the unsinkable host Jean-Pierre Foucault who will, as always, be in charge, assisted by Thierry Baumann.
Miss France 2026: the new instructions for the final on TF1
It’s on the theme The Misses’ Journeythat the regional candidates will parade and speak during approximately 3 hours of show, in order to win the sash and the crown of Miss France 2026. All prepared for several days during the preparatory trip organized in Martinique and during which they notably passed the dreaded general knowledge test, posed for official portraits in a swimsuit or even discovered the catwalk.
During the televised final, host Jean-Pierre Foucault will this year be instructed to pay particular attention to his choice of words. Indeed, Frédéric Gilbert – president of the Miss France company – told the Parisian that formulations of the type “The temperature will rise a notch since we will attend the parade in swimsuits” will now be banned.
Nothing to upset Jean-Pierre Foucault, however. “I read that I should not say this, that I should not say that… I am myself and I have always been extremely courteous and respectful towards the candidates and the Miss France institution. We are slowly following evolution, we are in the era of time, and that’s so much the better“, he proclaimed on the set of C à vous. The 78-year-old presenter, who only leaves his house on the outskirts of Marseille for rare occasions, added: “If you watch the first show where Laure Belleville was elected, it will seem terribly old and outdated. On the other hand, the one you are going to see will be different from that of last year.”
Jean-Pierre Foucault host of the Miss France evening for a long time to come?
The legendary presenter does not intend to give up his place so quickly to host the beauty contest. Indeed, Jean-Pierre Foucault has the full support of TF1 and the committee. “TF1 and the Miss France company told me that I would leave whenever I wanted (…) The day I felt neither the physical or moral conditions to do Miss France, I would stop“, he confided a few months ago to Tele-Leisure.
The host also joked that his only condition for withdrawing from Miss France would be the election of a Miss Provence! This year, according to artificial intelligence, the Provençal candidate has every chance of winning… To be continued.
