Laurent Gerra, the well-known comedian and impersonator, spoke without filter about his report in Paris during an interview on RTL. When asked if he is “still in love with Paris”he responds with a touch of irony: “Yes, always, especially since the Olympics, the rats have come back…” He admits to never having been truly passionate about the capital, even adding: “Lyon should be the capital.“
The 56-year-old comedian specifies that he generally does not stay more than two or three days in Paris, a city which now mainly serves him to carry out his professional meetings. “I’m not complaining about being in Paris for two days, because I concentrate all my meetings”, he explains. Laurent Gerra: does he still have friends in Paris?
However, he recognizes what Paris has given him: “It’s also the city that made me famous so I can’t complain about Paris all the time.” However, the links he maintained with the capital gradually faded, notably with the departure or death of several friends. “I don’t have many friends there anymore, apart from Eddy Mitchell”he confides.
From now on, it is in Lyon that Laurent Gerra has found his roots. He lives there with his wife Christelle Bardet and their little daughter, Célestine, aged 4. The city offers him a quality of life that suits him much better, far from the tumult of Paris. “When I’m in Paris, I take advantage of it”, he emphasizes, while specifying: “I have a wonderful life, so I don’t want to complain.”
