After a hard blow in life, the former Miss France Laury Thilleman needed to be surrounded and therefore chose to return to live with her parents. She explains.
Before becoming a TV presenter, Laury Thilleman was crowned Miss France 2011. For several years, she lived at a frenetic pace, multiplying professional offers from all sides. But, one day, life came knocking on her door and the beauty queen took the opportunity to refocus with her family.
“I experienced real emotional, mental and physical chaos”
In a video interview given to the media Loubroadcast on social networks last December, Laury Thilleman spoke with great frankness about how her body and her mind one day escaped her. “For ten years, I was caught in a whirlwind of requests, of meeting the expectations of others, and I believe that deep down, I did not really listen to myself. At 30 years old it didn’t fail, my body gave way, my head gave way, my heart told me stop. I experienced real emotional, mental and physical chaos“, she confided.
The former Miss France, who divorced from chef Juan Arbelaez in 2022, fractured her knee during a trip to Bali (Indonesia) and, rather than finding herself within the four walls of her house, she then made the decision to return to live with his parents. “I was told it would be four months before I could walk again“, she clarified.
Where does Laury Thilleman live today?
During her convalescence, Laury Thilleman took the time to refocus on herself. The presenter, now 33 years old, has established beneficial habits: eating a balanced diet, going to bed at set times, sleeping deeply and turning off her phone. “And then, I returned to my parents and I became Laury again, 12 and a half years old. Take care of me! I need love“, she laughed.
This healing process has also been a path of inner relearning. “By regaining the ability to walk, I also learned to love myself a little more every day“, she confides with emotion.
Today, the beautiful Breton who will take back control of the show Meet in unknown land with the blessing of Frédéric Lopez obviously left the family nest. She lived for several years in a house on the Basque coast where she particularly enjoyed surfing. But, in December 2024, she revealed on her Instagram account that she had moved to an apartment supposedly located on her land, in Brittany.
