It’s not easy to return to a normal life after living cut off from the world at the castle of Dammarie-les-Lys. But Lenie, eliminated at the gates of the semi-finals of season 11, decided to experience things at her own pace. Which is not easy every day!
It’s to talk about the after Star-Academy that Lenie was invited to the set of It starts todayFrance 2’s flagship show, this Tuesday April 7. And the big winner of the twelfth season of Dancing with the stars did not hide his difficulties.
Lenie under pressure after the Star-Academy : “The world of music is moving fast…”
Faced with Faustine Bollaert, the 20-year-old singer returned to the pressure that some of her comrades involuntarily put on her when leaving the castle. Never mind, the youngest of season 11 has decided to lead her own business at her own pace. Out of the question for her to give in to pressure from the music industry. Result: despite resoundingly successful singles, the former partner of Jordan Mouillerac who currently dances with Juju Fitcats has still not revealed her first album.
Asked by her host about the pressure felt towards her former roommates, she did not hide her doubts and her fears. “It would be a lie to say no”she first admitted. Before continuing: “It puts pressure on because we say to ourselves: ‘OK, maybe I have to go at the same pace as them. I have to go fast, the music world moves fast’”. And to finally conclude: “I told myself no, I’m going to go at my own pace. I’m very lucky to have fans who support me for this and who tell me to take my time”.
Lenie soon on tour? “I don’t want to rush.”
Moreover, Lenie makes a point of doing things as she sees fit, starting with her image, she who has made lip liner a true signature makeup gesture. From the height of her 20 years, the Southerner could, for example, have never set foot on the floor of Dancing with the stars. She considered, in fact, to have already done “enough TV shows”. “I needed to find myself”she confided to Faustine Bollaert. Finally, after a first date, Lenie changed her mind: “It’s true that it could also perhaps help me turn the page and say to myself ‘OK, I’m doing something for myself (…) I’m going to dance, think of something else, and experience something that belongs to me’”.
Building on her victory on TF1, the young artist will soon unveil her first opus: “I’m working on it, I’m in the studio every day, I’m working really hard, and I’m really looking forward to it”. And she will soon be going on tour. But there is no question of her rushing things: “I don’t want to rush because there’s a wait. I really want to put on a show, to dance, to sing, to have dancers with me. I have ideas that are very big and it takes time. So I too, I’m impatient, I talk about it every day and I know that the day it happens, it will be incredible”. The message got through!
