In life insurance, the 2024 bulletins were given. Thanks to the data compiled by Good Value For Money, a first teaching: it was necessary to serve a net return of at least 3%* in 2024 to appear at the top of the basket. Or at least 0.4% more than the average recorded on euros funds for the entire market, namely 2.6%, according to France Insurers. An objective achieved for responsible and solidarity life insurance contracts (MAIF), Matmut Vie Epargne (Matmut), Target + (Primonial) and Placement-Direct essential (placement-direct.fr), displaying all four a performance of 3%.
The best market contract has a rate of more than 4% in 2024
There are then seven contracts whose rates served are between 3.05% and 3.5%, including those of two banks (Société Générale and Crédit Agricole) and four mutuals (MACSF, MIF, Carac and Garance), which have become used to “trushing” the top of the rankings in recent years thanks to their more diversified and dynamic portfolios than average. Ex-aequo in third place, the very recent Euros placement-direct.fr fund (on the EURO+Placement Direct Contract) and Mutualist France (on the Actepargne 2 contract) are up to a hair to do as well as booklet A in 2024 (3%), with a rate served 3.6%, or 2.98%net of social security contributions (17.2%).
Finally, at the top of the race, mutual amplifier (amplifier life insurance contract) which maintained a rate of 3.75% between 2023 and 2024, and the Corum group – already first in the 2023 classification – which managed to increase its rate by 4.45% to 4.65% on its new Euros fund accessible via its Corum Life contract. In addition to their performance, these contracts also have an interest in terms of charges taken: seven do not apply any of your payments, in euros funds, and management fees (on euros as on account units, UC) are all less than 1%.
