Life insurance finds beautiful colors. After a historic low of 1.10% In 2021, the average interest rate served on euros funds for life insurance contracts rose in 2022 (1.92%)in 2023 (2.60%), according to the ACPR (prudential and resolution control authority). A dynamic stopped in 2024, but with an average yield of guaranteed capital supports stabilized at 2.6%, according to France Insurers.
However, it should be kept in mind that this is an average, which can hide strong disparities in performance depending on the contracts. According to Cyrille Chartier-Kastler, founder of the good value for money, who compiles each year for Capital The yields of these different products, the gap is however tightened in 2024 than than 2023, with up to more than 4% distributed for the best euros funds, against 1.20% for the less good. Performance that led savers to return massively to life insurance in 2024, to the detriment, in particular, of the Livret A.
The best cuvée contract displays a rate greater than 4%
At the top of the basket, two mutuals expressed their performances on January 1. Mutual amplifier announced a rate of 3.75% net of management fees* served on the Euros fund of his life insurance contract. For its part, Garance, used to serving among the best market rates for several years, has expressed a yield of 3.5%. Another efficient mutual insurance company, France mutualist, communicated a rate of 3.60%.
However, the best student in the 2024 cuvée will be the Corum group, which managed to “release” a monster yield of 4.65%, after already 4.45% in 2023, on their Corum Life contract. Disappointment on the side of the French Savings and Retirement Association (AFER), which distributes a rate of 2.51% to its 750,000 members, slightly less than the average of the sector.
