Festivals and weddings arrive and with them, the desire to wear a pretty wreath of flowers (on her head or on her walls). You are told how to cover you with petals, step by step.
Material required:
- branches of ivy
- Flexible wire sheathed in green fabric
- scissors
- Fresh flowers
(Thank you to the joy of flowers.fr for this workshop produced during the We Love Green festival.)
Step 1: Form the base
With the branches of ivy, go around your head twice to create the plant circle which will serve as the basis for your crown. Wrap small pieces of wire around the branches, in several different places, to maintain the shape. Cut the leaves you feel too much and the small branches that could hurt your skull.
Step 2: Choose your flowers

Coldings, Marguerites, craspedias, chrysanthemums, gerbéras, peonies … Mix the kinds, colors, size of flowers to create a crown in your image: a little wise or completely crazy! Cut the ones you have selected so that the stem does not exceed 5 cm.
Step 3: Arrange and fix the flowers

The goal is covered with around a third of the circle of ivy. Start with the left, positioning your first flower so that the head is turned backwards. Bring a piece of wire about 50 cm (which will be used for the whole crown) and make three laps around the stem to keep the flower on the base. Place a new flower a few centimeters, with the head in the same direction. Continue like this. If you run out of wire, do not hesitate to leave with a new piece.
