When Thaïs and Archibald set their sights on this house in the 1930s near Lyon, everything is (re) doing. Helped by Little Worker’s shock teams, they were able to fill all their decorative desires and their room is the perfect example.
Post Cavid, this family decides to leave Paris to settle in the Lyon region. After a year of rental in search of the rare pearl, they have a real crush on a house in the 1930s, perched on the mountains of Lyonnais. Its time charm, its beautiful volumes and quality materials appeal to the future owner, passionate about China and with a sharp eye for the decor. As it stands, this 1933 building is full of cachet, but requires a deep renovation to combine modernity and comfort. Priority? Energy improvement with the insulation of creeping, floors and attic, but also replacement of all windows …
Thanks to work carried out to perfection by Little Worker for four months, the house went from an energy class G to D, with a budget of around 170,000 euros. A redistribution of spaces and special care has also been given to decoration, enough to transform this place into a real family cocoon. Zoom on the only room on the ground floor, accessible from the entrance, which already benefited from a good height under ceiling, a parquet and moldings of the time. In the background, a bathroom completed this space to be magnified from top to bottom.
Once sanded and vitrified, the original prosecution has regained its letters of nobility. Behind the couple’s sleeping, a Placo® headboard was born in order to highlight a few objects found by Thai care. Above, a floral creation responds to the patterns of the bed set, as in the bouquet of dried flowers, arranged on the vintage dresser. On each side, an IKEA dressing room allows each parents to have their own storage space.
Like the rest of the house, their room distills a neat decoration, with the spirit of yesteryear modernized. Result ? A cocoon of sweetness to sleep on both ears and an adjoining, revised and corrected bathroom in the same vein. What else?
