In 2025, Vincent Niclo reached a major milestone: he celebrated his fiftieth birthday. More comfortable than ever with himself, and at peace with his past, the tenor accepts his choices… And his celibacy!
At 50, Vincent Niclo is a peaceful man, who takes responsibility for his decisions and asserts them loud and clear. Last February, the former candidate of Dancing With The Stars also spoke about the choices that shaped him, as an artist but above all as a man, in the Belgian magazine Ciné-Télé Revue.
Vincent Niclo single and without “any regrets”: “A couple is not being free”
The opera singer embraces his hectic pace of life… And the celibacy that results from it! “I’ve dreamed of this existence all my life, I’m not going to complain that I don’t have enough time for myself. I’m a workaholic, I love everything I do, I love traveling”he began. And to the one who won Mask Singer disguised as a Husky in 2023 to continue: “I am hypersensitive and hyperactive. Which is not easy to manage on a daily basis, perhaps that is why I am still single”.
“But I can tolerate myself, that’s not bad.”he added a bit ironically. Lucid about the impact his professional life has on his private life, he continued: “It’s complicated to have a life as a couple when you’re never there. I already have trouble seeing my family. So, starting a new one…”.
Happy to lead this life despite his hectic daily life, he then explained that he had “no regrets”. “I have always fought for my freedom. And being a couple is not being free. I never wanted children either”he indicated. A rather pessimistic vision of the couple that he nevertheless claims: “My father was never there for Christmas, the important dates. I didn’t blame him, but I don’t want to impose that on a child”.
Vincent Niclo, 50 years old and “freed from a lot of problems”: “Today, nothing scares me anymore!”
Very happy to have celebrated his 50th birthday, Vincent Niclo, who is part of the jury of the France 3 show The Best Choir in Franceadmitted that he felt “even younger than before”. “I freed myself from a lot of problems that prevented me from moving forward in life. I judged myself, I flagellated myself. I didn’t have a very happy adolescence. Music was my refuge”he added.
“Today, nothing scares me anymore!”he then revealed. Before concluding: “And then, I missed death several times. I’ll write about it in a book one day. But when you miss the last day, every extra day is a bonus. A birthday means I gained a year on life!”.
