Over 57 million euros disbursed – of which 11 million in 2025 alone, with an increase of 13% compared to the previous year – and 1,868 projects financed in 56 countries including Italy. These are the numbers of the Mediolanum Foundation (presented at the convention Togetherlast March 23 in Milan), which this year reaches the milestone of 25 years of activity. A quarter of a century well spent if you consider that in five decades more than 320 thousand children in difficulty have been helped. «Dad said “If I can, I help everyone” – remember Sara Doris55 years old, president of the Mediolanum Foundation, vice president of Banca Mediolanum and daughter of the founder of the banking group, Ennio Doris – values such as generosity, transparency, respect for the work of others, in one word I would say love, which should not be held back, still guide us today: no one finds happiness just by seeking their own».
Generate value to bring value to the territory, networking: Banca Mediolanum and Fondazione Mediolanum, created precisely to develop the group’s main activities in the social field, carry within them the imprinting of the founder.

Last year the social impact generated was 12.1 million euros, provided to help almost 50 thousand people. «Certainly there is a business to support also because if you don’t grow you can’t make investments. In doing so, however, you can and must promote bonds and solidarity – continues Doris – What makes the difference is not how you work but how you live. I thank my brother Massimo for the way he is leading Banca Mediolanum, for the results and for the style of great humanity and attention to others that he is carrying forward: it is nice to be able to give those who work with us the opportunity to share important values”. Thanks to Mediolanum values managerfinancial advisors who invest time in spreading the culture of social responsibility, and to Mediolanum Charity Ambassadorcharged with addressing the social emergencies of the territories, Mediolanum promises to be “a bank at the service of families”. It is no coincidence then that, just to give an example, the link with the Anna Gugliemi shelter, for the Celebrolese patients treated at the Montecatone institute and their carers, was born thanks to the sensitivity of a family banker consultant and today this important reality in the Imola area is among the many supported by the solidarity project Mediolanum with you.

The strategies for promoting goodness with credit certainly don’t end here. Cents that count is the service that allows account holders to automatically donate cents to the balance on the last day of the month, supporting organizations such as Dynamo Camp, Centro Benedetta D’Intino, Lega del Filo d’Oro and Invictus camp, which deal with children with disabilities and serious chronic pathologies. Any data to understand how much value the “coins” can generate? In 2025, more than 1 million 84 thousand euros were collectedfor a total of 5,298 children helped from October 2014 to today and 4 and a half million euros donated. Then there are the giving back initiatives (in 2025, for example, 50 thousand euros were allocated to the Arca Foundation and Doctors with Africa Cuam, 100 thousand to the Tog Foundation) and the relief loans, a thousand since 2009 for an amount of 10 million euros, disbursed in synergy with the anti-usury foundations of 14 different Italian regions: a very precious activity, hinged on the work of the Bankwhich in addition to the settlement and write-off of the debt includes a financial education process to avoid falling back into the trap of usury.
Now the Mediolanum Foundation’s goal is to support 500 thousand children by 2030. «We want to continue to nourish the culture of solidarity, which is also vital for our identity – concludes Sara Doris – Spreading seeds that will be eternal: here is the horizon of a group that wants to interpret life without leaving anything or anyone behind».
