A week camping to immerse yourself in a culture of peace, repudiate the war and imagine a better future together. In an atmosphere of conflicts and armaments race, the “Rise Up!” Summer camps return with the fourth edition! of Emergency, dedicated to young people aged 18 to 28. From 1 August to 7 August, at the Etruscan Pionier Camping in Marina di Montalto di Castro (VT), meetings, moments of dialogue, workshops and workshops will follow. A week – enriched by the partnership with uncomfortable – in which the boys and girls will find a safe space in which to stop to reflect on wars, human rights and migration.
The topics will be “migrations, poverty and denied rights”. While in the world we continue to build walls and deny political asylum, thousands of people are forced to abandon their home on the run from wars and poverty every year, looking for a better future. Listening to the experiences of operators, researchers and even volunteers of the NGO, the week will deepen the causes and consequences of migration. In particular, the Focus will be dedicated to the testimonies of those who save human lives in the Mediterranean Sea and the Sudan case, where the civil war forced over 12 million people to abandon their homes.
Meetings and comparisons will alternate during the morning of “Rise Up!”, While to explore different forms of communication, the boys in the afternoon will be able to participate in theater workshops, creative writing or photography. Between moments of in -depth analysis and workshops there will be time to enjoy a few hours on the beach and moments of rest in the shadow of the campsite pine forest.
The participation fee is € 470. The fee includes: cost pitch (including hot water, wifi, electricity), breakfast, lunch and dinner in affiliated structures, insurance, morning and afternoon training activities, Welcome Kit (T-shirts and information material).
