“Carpe Diem” continues to break audience records on TF1 and it is partly thanks to Samuel Le Bihan, very involved in his role. It must be said that the series was shot on its favorite land: the Côte d’Azur. And he could even invite his family there …
This Monday, March 17, Samuel Le Bihan was back for episodes 3 and 4 of the brand new police series of TF1, Carpe Diem. A short program in which the 59 -year -old actor slips into the shoes of a man who has just spent 17 years behind bars and who decides to become a lawyer! The series is a successful bet for the first channel since it retains, this week again, its first position in the hearing ranking with an average of 4,833,000 viewers. Tour on the French Riviera last winter, Carpe Diem owes a large part of his intrigue to his main character, Samuel Le Bihan, who thought of the script … and decided on the set of filming!
Samuel Le Bihan turned Carpe Diem in the south: “a very family moment”
It must be said that the actor has lived in the south for a few years. He raised his daughter Angia there, now aged thirteen and suffering from an autistic disorder. Samuel Le Bihan has a guard and therefore did not want to move away from his daughter during the four months of filming. “There was something very happy because we were in Nice. I live in the south, I live in Nice”first told the actor in the online media PIAT sisters.
“And my daughter left school, she arrived on the set (…) There were all my friends who were there. So it was a very family, warm, pleasant, friendly moment. So I worked a lot but at the same time there were always moments of rejoicing that shared“He added.
Samuel Le Bihan did not want to “be distant” from his daughter: “It was important”
“It was I who proposed the place to TF1 by telling them that I would like it to be turned in Nice. Obviously, I had in mind not to be too far from my daughter”had also explained this father of three children in Gala. “I didn’t want to leave for four months too far, I wanted to stay in an environment that allowed me to preserve my family. It was important”then added the one who is very close to his daughter Angia.
Besides, the latter participated, in her own way, in the shooting of Carpe Diem. It has indeed contributed to the creation of a scene punctuated by Afrobeat. “For the little story, it was I who created the choreography, with my daughter (…) I started working, but it is so hard and technical that I had to make it a very simplified version. My daughter had foot ideas and we both worked”said Samuel Le Bihan to our colleagues from TV leisure.
