Several packets of cigarettes have seen their price drop.
The price of cigarettes is subject to regular changes in France. A new pricing took place on March 1, 2025, announced the latest French customs bulletin on February 7, 2025. The vast majority of packages have not changed prices. However, some packages have seen their price slightly lower. From now on, the majority of cigarette packs (Lucky Strike, Rothmans, Vogue, Pall Malls or Winfield …) Cost more than 12 euros and even come close to the 13 euros or even the 14 euros for the Dunhill brand. The purpose of these new prizes is to dissuade the French from smoking.
The packages that have dropped
On March 1, 2025, several brands saw their prices drop by a few tens of cents. Here are the main changes:

- Mauve corset, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- Corset Ice, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- The King Filters, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- The King Filters Ice, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- Rose corset, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- The King 100’s Filters, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
- The King 100’s Filters ICE, in 20 units goes from 10.60 to 10.40 euros
Cigarette packs that have increased
On March 1, very few brands increased their prices. There are only Maya Blue Spirit and Maya Original Spirit cigarettes which drop from 11.00 euros to 11.20 euros. In February, there has already been a notable increase which mainly concerned the packages of the Dunhill, Bastos, Fine, Fortuna, Gauls (non -exhaustive):

Here are the prices of cigarettes per brand in 2025
In France, a pack of cigarettes cost today between 12 and 14 euros, 12.50 euros on average. These are Tobacco manufacturers (Cigaretters) which set the sale prices of their packages taking into account the evolution of Taxes taken by the State (which represent About 80% of the price of the cigarette package). They can pass on the increase in these taxes, which increases the price of the package, or reduce their margins in order to gain market share, which stagnates or lower the sale price. The prices are then jointly approved by the Ministry of Solidarity and Health and the Ministry of Action and Public Accounts. On January 14, 2025, French customs published the prices of cigarette packs sold in France for 2025:
