The pleasure of shopping… without its inconveniences. Bye lines and hello style.
Today, technologies are multiplying to facilitate our shopping trips. If the arrival of online stores and applications have opened up the field of possibilities, progress in this area is far from over. Lately it’s Zara which has excited fans of the brand, with a new tool that is both fun and practical. On its app, the Iberian label has released a new feature that will save you long minutes of waiting in the cabin… This new feature is proving devilishly useful during this festive period, which sees the number of people in stores exploding and the queues getting longer. So, there is no need to embark on a painful race to find a stylish outfit.
The latter allows you to virtually try on a set of clothes Zara selected by you and see what it looks like on you without even wearing them. How does it work?
When you arrive at a product page, a “Try On” button appears at the bottom left of the photo. Just click on it to activate the option. The app then asks you to provide two photos of yourself; one of your face and one of your body. The fitting session can then begin. Once this step has been validated, we then choose the pieces that we want to add to the final look and that’s it. Using Artificial Intelligence, the Zara app will generate images and videos of you wearing the complete outfit from head to toe. These looks are then saved in the “My looks” tab which is located just below your “Favorites”, via the home page.
Here, the tool is mainly used to see the aesthetics of the finished look and the harmony of the chosen pieces, rather than to check if the size of the garment really suits us. A content creator reminds us: at certain ready-to-wear brands, clothes are sized differently even when they display the same size on the label. Furthermore, this option is currently only available in certain countries such as Poland, the Netherlands or Mexico. Can’t wait for it to arrive here!
