Very little insurance is still purchased online: 9% of life insurance premiums and 19% of non-life insurance premiums, according to the European Insurance Regulator (EIOPA), are purchased entirely digitally and autonomously. The rest is distributed directly (also digitally but with human support) or via an agency, an intermediary or a specialist.
These distributions are not optimal: an end-to-end digital approach for some insurances, or with the support of specialists at the right time, for other insurances, it means covering yourself according to your needs and means, it means filing a claim more quickly, it means compensation without unbearable waiting. It means more time for agencies and their specialists to advise the customer on complex insurance products, those who decide their future, their pension.
