At 53, Philippe Candeloro is a fulfilled man. Although he can no longer skate as much as before, the double Olympic medalist and vice-world champion in figure skating continues to create shows, in the company of his wife Olivia. And now, their daughter Maya joins the troupe of their show!

Married for 27 years, the lovebirds are working on putting together their show The Sandman’s Daughterentirely directed and choreographed by Olivia Candeloro. Together, they are also preparing a brand new show, Nutcracker on ice. And the beautiful story doesn’t end there since their daughters gradually join the adventure.
Philippe and Olivia Candeloro had three daughters: Luna, born in 2000, Maya, born in 2002, and the youngest Talia, born in 2006. It is therefore the youngest who follows in their footsteps and who is the main character of their show, currently on tour throughout France. “It’s our daughter, Maya, who plays the main role, the sandman’s daughter. It’s a bit of a transmission since I previously played the sandman”confided the skater to The Voice of the North.
And it’s up to him to continue: “53 years old, with two hip prostheses, Olivia and I did not want the main role to fall solely on me and that the show, a Christmas story on ice, could not be performed because of me for various reasons. I have a role but smaller”.

At 23, Maya Candeloro is a dancer… But not only that! The young woman, trained at the Paris Opera, also practices improvisation theater and has already distinguished herself on the radio. She has also appeared in several Disney shows, including the ninth installment of Mickey and the magician. In her parents’ show, she will not go on the ice. “She is not on skates but with special spiked shoes. She is the link between each painting.
