Times are hard for Pierre and Frédérique, who form one of the most emblematic couples of “L’Amour est dans le pré”. Over-indebted, they recently had to face their creditors…

Pierre and Frédérique, who fell in love on the flagship M6 show, Love is in the meadowhave big money problems. They recounted their financial difficulties in THE Parisianreferring to the sale of their family home. Since then, it is on Instagram that the couple took the floor to take stock.

Pierre and Frédérique soon in “one in a mobile home at €150 per month” ?

Caught by the throat by too large debts, the emblematic participants of the 7th season of Love is in the meadow had actually announced that they were separating from Pierre’s family property, which had been passed down from generation to generation for almost two centuries. “We may end up in a mobile home for €150 per month with my mother-in-law but, at least, we will be together”declared the principal concerned. And his wife added: “We were both on anxiolytics for a year. We stopped them because, at one point, we said to ourselves that we were going to hang ourselves.”

The couple, based in Gers, must in fact face a colossal debt: they owe more than 1.5 million euros to their bank, and to the various agricultural organizations around them. The parents of a little boy named Gabriel, born a year after their meeting in front of the M6 cameras, therefore had no other choice. Moreover, at the same time, Pierre, an Armagnac producer from father to son, announced that he would give up his activity, which had been undermined by numerous disastrous climatic episodes.

Pierre and Frédérique summoned to court: “It’s something quite traumatic”

On March 12, Pierre and Frédérique had an appointment in court as part of their agricultural legal recovery. “It’s a very stressful day for us, because we are going to Auch court for a session with the creditors”they said. “It’s something quite traumatic, especially since our lawyer is not there. We face our responsibilities. We respect and will always respect French justice. We assume and we go.”. And to give one final piece of advice: “Get support early so it doesn’t end up where we are.”

A few hours after their summons, it was in an Instagram story that Frédérique gave the news. “There are still going to be a lot of meetings, a lot of summons, a lot of paperwork, the uncertainty of the next day is so psychologically exhausting”she first indicated. And it’s up to her to reassure: “The motto is to make plans, even very small things, every day so as not to sink, to hold on to the edge of the precipice for positive things that carry us towards the next day, for our family for whom we hope for less gray days. And see the positive in each ordeal”.
