Julie Decroix is originally from Blotzheim – she was born in Dakar, Senegal, then lived in Mali before settling in Alsace – she is 20 years old and measures 1m75. She is training in psychology to become a child psychologist. In a post on her Instagram account, Julie Decroix shared a photo of herself when she was a child. The new Miss Alsace took the opportunity to indulge in some confidences. “When I was little, I was an innocent girl like any child, I really loved helping people in need, and that has never changed.” explained Julie Decroix.
“Honestly, I am proud of the woman I have become despite the difficulties encountered, especially those experienced by my family.” she added without revealing too much. And then, there was this dream, this goal which has always driven her: “I had a dream, to make my parents proud and today, this dream is finally coming true day after day.“

Just like after the coronation of Angélique Angarni-Filopon, the new Miss Alsace was also the target of racist insults on social networks. “I’ve seen some comments on the networks, but it doesn’t reach me (…) I find it unfortunate that in 2025, we can judge people by the color of their skin. I was born in another country, I grew up a little abroad, but that doesn’t make me an Alsatian who wouldn’t be like everyone else.“, she reacted to the site Alsace.fr.
