In a world that lives torn by the conflict in Rondine, a small village near Arezzo, a community seeks peace responses. We give ourselves an appointment on June 6 in Arezzo from where the march on the way to direct peace in Rondine Cittadella della Pace starts. There to wait for her, at the end, there will be the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella, called to inaugurate the “Youtopic Fest 2025” festival with an intervention, scheduled in the small village of Arezzo from 6 to 8 June. Three days of meetings, workshops, exhibitions, projections, artistic fittings to face the conflict as a “motor change engine”. “Imagination” is the theme of this edition dedicated to the transformative force of the imagine as a political, educational and collective act.
Among the expected guests, Daniele Novara, Paola Cortellesi, Agnese Pini, Michele Serra, long linked to the Citadel of Peace, and Giovanni Caccamo, protagonists of the “corner of the conflict”, a dialogue on personal conflicts.
Themes like Generative education, information, peace in the Middle East and the UN agenda. In spaces of comparison with experts and young people from all over the world We will talk about innovative methods and approaches for a school that favors well -being and growth; of Agenda of the United Nations with a focus on young people, peace and security; of journalism as a tool to build an imaginary of peace, going beyond conflicting narratives; and the urgency of imagining possible peace in the Middle East, in a context of open and constructive dialogue.
On June 6 at 9 pm the documentary film will be screened Liliana by Ruggero Gabbai, dedicated to the figure and testimony of the life senator Liliana Segre in the presence of the director. On June 7, always at 9 pm, it will be up to the film Battlefield by Gianni Amelio, a touching film set in the last days of the First World War and focused on the human drama and on the ethical dilemma of two medical officers divided by two different ways of conceiving one’s role. Again, the public will be able to meet the director. The Social Expo exhibition space will host the social impact projects designed and carried out by the international students of World House, coming from all over the world who will show off the concrete results of their commitment to peace, bringing innovative solutions and transformation stories from the territories of origin.
