“He wanted to get a nun.” It is the first thing – or, in any case, one of the first curiosities – that Google associates with the name of Rossella Brescia, as if the same search engine stands for the small paradox: she, “the dancer of friends” (for everyone still remains such), the hilarious speaker of RDS that makes hilarious imitations (never felt her Sophia Loren?), The actress, voice actress but also a TV presenter, as a child, as a child, votes.
Not exactly the canonical process of an artist …
In reality, behind this singular Abbrivio hides much more: there is a beauty that has intertwined – and still intertwines – two apparently distant worlds; An aunt and nuns so fascinating in their charisma as to transform into something magical even the visit to a cemetery, and the embrace of a God who never abandons you.
That desire as a child is nothing more than the momentum of those who, in front of something true and visceral, tend their hands and say: “I would like it too”.
In the end, in fact, it went just like that. While not having made a nun (“Growing up I realized that my way was another”), Rossella Brescia has kept that God with a good gaze tight, of which he often heard at home.
“If I did everything I did, it’s precisely because I have this spirituality,” he assures. And adds: “The world of entertainment is soon, and it is thanks to faith if I have never lost sight of the right priorities”.
