Each month, the “big savings meeting” (capital / radio heritage) answers your questions in the “your questions, our answers” sequence. Our experts – notaries, taxpiens, specialists in investments – support you on all your financial concerns, whether inheritance, investment or taxation. Today, Stéphane Van Huffel, president of SVH Conseil, responds to Gérard, 82, who is looking for a secure placement for a one -year horizon, after having optimized his savings on regulated, real estate and life insurance.
First of all, despite his role as wealth management advisor, our expert is pragmatic: “At 82: enjoy it!” This is what I would naturally say to a client of that age ”says Stéphane Van Huffel. This is all the more so since for a short -term placement without risk, the options remain limited. “Today, the Banking term account (CAT) is the best option for a one -year horizon, without excessive risk -to -risk ”specifies our guest. This placement makes it possible to block a sum of money for a fixed period – for example one year -, in exchange for a remuneration rate known in advance.
Term accounts or super booklets are the only two short -term options
Nevertheless, Stéphane Van Huffel nuance: “Unfortunately, the term accounts are less interesting this year than last year or two years ago. But for a low -risk and short -term placement, there is not really any other alternative. ” In conclusion, for an investor wishing to secure his savings in the very short term without taking any risks, the term account remains a viable solution, although less remunerative than recently. Another option could also be a great banking booklet, an alternative to traditional regulated booklets (Booklet A, LDDS, etc.). It remains recommended to examine the offers of the various traditional or digital banks to obtain the best rate available.
