Three days of meetings, artistic performances, workshops, music, cinema and theater for reflect together on the great issues of our time: Dal 5 to 7 September 2025, Reggio Emilia will host the Fifth edition of the Emergency Festival.

A festival, many ways of making your voice heard
The theme of this year, “The voice”it is an invitation to listen, tell and be heard. Taking voice means much more than speaking: it is an act of courage, participation, imagination. And this is also the spirit that, for over 30 years, has guided the action of Emergency, committed to defending the right to the voice of those who are put to the margins: the victims of war, poverty, of agaustice.
The festival is built through different formats, designed to reach various public, but which together make up a single, large collective narrative. The program is divided into an alternation of “Dialogues ” With national and international guests and the Emergency staff, testimonies of field work with the cycle “A lesson with Emergency “ and short interventions such as “Questions to think “where in 20 minutes a speaker answers questions on key themes. There are, then, more informal spaces such as “A coffee with … “ And Innovative formats such as the one edited by the journalist of Radio24 Giampaolo Musumecion the role of activism in international contexts. Art as a reporting tool finds space in the review “Make Art, Not War”, while a reflection on current affairs is at the center of the collaboration with “Il Post”. The theatrical and musical events are completed by the program and entertainment, film projections and morning appointments of “Voices on stage” And “Upon awakening “.
During the Festival the exhibition “will be set up at the Palazzo dei Musei”Against the war – looks and imaginary“, Which will remain open with free admission until 26 October. Exhibition is an Emergency project by Cheap and is an immersive path on the theme of war in its physical, psychological, social and political effects that is structured through different visual levels and degrees of involvement.

Great attention is also paid to the youngest, with the schedule “Generations “through which the Festival offers experiences, workshops, animated readings and events designed for girls, boys, boys, girls and families, exploring together themes such as peace, creativity and the right to expression.
