Desperation and momentum: How much life can there be in a family community? Much, as those who follow more than 26 thousand minors hosted in Italian structures know. While for those who have never appeared in this world, the vibration of energy, emotions and disagreements, typical of these houses, is a real discovery. To amaze it, in the eighth season of That God help ushe is also the young Sister Azzurra, played by Francesca Chillemi. Just her who, after taking the votes in the previous season, had set a quiet life in the convent of the guardian angels, instead finds himself dealing with the harshness of the girls in difficulty, all with the “blessing” and the investiture of Sister Angela, Elena Sofia Ricci. From Assisi to Rome, from the convent to the family home: the new season-broadcast from February 27 on Rai 1-opens the doors to the complexity of life. “We have collected the challenge of renewing ourselves without betraying the fundamental ingredients, we can call it a revolutionary edition,” anticipates the screenwriter Silvia Leuzzi.
But why set the series in a family home? “In these contexts there are tracked stories, yet hope is not lacking. We all need to know that someone worries about us and it always loves us, “Leuzzi notes.
In Italy, the minors welcomed between family and socio-educational communities are 26,010, of which 18,300 Italians and 7,707 unaccompanied minors. “These are mainly teenagers and pre -adolescents – 46% are between 15 and 17 years old; 17.5% are between 11 and 14 years – often marked by psychological discomfortwhich manifest forms of social retreat or aggression, and are unable to imagine their future. Some come from the criminal area, all from families who are not, or are not yet, able to take care of it », he explains Liviana Marellicontact person new generations and families of the national coordination welcoming community (CNCA). The structures are about 4 thousand along the entire peninsula: “The family community, sometimes called home-family, provides for the stable presence of two
adults, often spouses, supported by professional educators. Then there are the educational or socio-educational communities, in which the accompaniment of adults is guaranteed by a team of professional operators. All communities must be of a family type, with a presence of maximum 6-7 minors in the family homes, located in civilian homes and open to the territory. Identify which reality is the most appropriate for the minor
And the family of origin belongs to the public body “.
That God helps us 8 reproduces the rooms and dynamics of the royal houses. On the other hand, also the name of the structure, the smile, recalls that of one of the realities that in Rome welcomes people with disabilities, but it is only homonymy. «With the writing team we visited some of the family houses, the house of the mother of Rome and the seed in the Rieti, and then to create ours, which has all the elements of reality: it is an educational, residential structure, with a model of family organization. The guests are minors left by families and there are also mothers girls. Some find themselves experimenting with the family dimension for the first time ». In the new season, therefore, no more students with their “relational scaramucce”, but girls struggling with “real problems”: «We are talking about abuse and small crime. The girls are challenging, at least at the beginning they live their stay in the family home as a “punishment”. They are impatient to go away, to be independent, even if deeply they only have a desperate need to be loved».
This time it is not the world that knocks on the convent, but it is Sister Azzurra who immerses yourself in the world: «More than teaching the girls, she will learn. Azzurra is a sister who is wrong, it has the fears we all have. I trust that the public can hear it close despite the veil»Says the screenwriter.
