Passionate about renovation, Rachel and Emilien have embarked on a real challenge: transforming an old factory into a family home. A colossal project that they share step by step on their YouTube channel.
Together, they form a duo overflowing with ideas and energy, carried by a common passion for work. On their channel, they alternate between renovation sites, DIY tutorials and behind the scenes of their daily life.
Thanks to their videos, they managed to surround themselves with demanding and generous craftsmen, who transmitted their know-how to them in a relaxed atmosphere. By dint of sanding, screwing, welding, they have acquired solid bases in masonry, insulation, plumbing, electricity, carpentry … A real toolbox which they use for their personal projects. With their 100 hours of content, 200 episodes and 639,000 subscribers to the counter, they attacked their biggest challenge.
Six years ago, they discovered on Leboncoin an old 900 m² textile factory in the north of France. Originally, they aimed at a warehouse of 300 m², but the seller slides them between their fingers. Then, chance or destiny, they come across this pearl: a 700 m² workshop, a 150 m² courtyard and a cellar of 100 m². Love at first sight is immediate.
A visit, an offer, a phone call later: it’s signed! And this, despite the competition from real estate developers ready to shave the walls to build new. But the owners, attached to their building, prefer to entrust their property to this couple of enthusiasts. Their goal? Rehabilitate the place without betraying your soul, keeping volumes, light and raw architecture of the time. A huge project, in which they have invested all their savings, from purchase to the least finishes.
Between the delivery of the keys and the start of the work, nothing was simple. But Rachel and Emilien hold good. Better: they go for it. Their goal? Make this atypical space a family home, but also a place of reception for workshops, events, meetings too.
