Bruno Salomone kept the secret of his illness until his last moments. But what do we know about the cancer that recently killed the actor? A close friend of the actor gives details…

Bruno Salomone died of cancer on March 15, at just 55 years old. A disappearance all the more unexpected as the actor had never spoken about his illness in public. According to the recent confidences of one of his relatives in the latest issue of Here isthe last months of his life were more than trying…

Bruno Salomone and his “dazzling” cancer: “Cervical metastases”

If we are to believe the words of this person close to his entourage, the actor had discovered “a lump on the neck“a few months ago.”But when the diagnosis came, it was already too late. It was dazzling“, lamented the source. The former interpreter of Denis Bouley in Don’t do this, don’t do that even wore a corset at the bust level and up to the neck: “He had cervical metastases“.

Unfortunately, the last moments of Bruno Salomone’s life were painful. “He couldn’t take it anymore, and the end was a deliverance for him“, we read. According to Thierry Bizot, creator of the series Don’t do this, don’t do thatthe actor and close friend of Jean Dujardin, however, remained positive until the end. “He suffered, he had a very difficult end of life, but he never made anyone feel like he was struggling. He was light, funny, enjoying life”he assured in C to you after specifying that he had had to be admitted to palliative care several times.

Bruno Salomone: “He didn’t want people to feel sorry for him”

He also explained to Paris Match that Bruno Salomone first fell ill during the filming of the series Don’t do this, don’t do that. “At the end of 2020, we filmed a Christmas special. Bruno became very ill at that time and then recovered“, explained the creator of the series to Paris Match. The actor reportedly recovered for a while before the illness caught up with him again and the cancer returned in 2025.

Despite everything, the actor tried to stay positive at all times. “He never made us bear the weight of his illness. There were even times when we forgot he was sick“, assured Benoît Masocco, the creator of the series. “He didn’t want it to be known, he was very modest Bruno, he didn’t want people to feel sorry for him“, added her friend Hélène de Fougerolles.

The funeral of the actor, who married his long-time partner Audrey on his hospital bed, is to take place on March 23 in Joinville-le-Pont, in Val-de-Marne, at the Sainte-Anne de Polangis church. The ceremony will be open to the public, as will access to the cemetery.
