Between cultural discoveries and immersion in the great outdoors, Les Nuits des Forêts offer a timeless break to reconnect with the living world, in the heart of the French forests.
Born from the meeting between the actors of the French forest-timber sector and those of the cultural and artistic sector, committed to the ecological transition, the Forest Nights Festival is the initiative of the association of the same name.
How were Forest Nights born?
First called the Festival des Forêts en Île-de-France, when it was launched in October 2020, this wooded event became the Nuits des Forêts, when it took on a national dimension. Crowned with success, the Nuits des Forêts festival returns this year again with a rich program.
Aimed at the general public, this unique event of its kind invites young and old to (re)discover this common and fragile heritage that is the forest. But also to exchange with wood professionals, experts and scientists, thinkers and artists. In short, create a bond with those who inhabit it, cultivate it, protect it and are inspired by it. The objective? We raise awareness of the many forest issues and promote new relationships with living things.
What is the program for Forest Nights? Everywhere in France
During these 17 days of forest festival, from June 5 to 21, 2026visitors are spoiled for choice when it comes to exploring the forests close to home and enjoying original, poetic and inspiring experiences.
At Forest Nights program, numerous free events and upon registration : day and night silvicultural visits and hikes, discovery of woodworking professions, meetings with foresters, bivouacs in the trees, creative workshops, vigils, awareness of the fragility of forests, shows, artistic installations… Enough to cultivate yourself with the greatest respect for the rhythm of nature, its ecosystems and the living beings who find refuge there.
