We live in a time when the distance between the real country and its digital promises is measured in megabit per second. And above all in absent skills. The collective book Company training technologiespublished by Mondadori Education, is an analytical work that moves on the ridge between sociology, pedagogy, knowledge economy and public policies. Written by a group of experts led by Franco Amicucci and Paolo Ferri, with the contribution of scholars such as Fabrizio Maimone and Francesca Scenini, the volume investigates almost Cartesian rigor an all -Italian paradox: in an era of hyperconnection, Italy remains among the European countries with less prepared human capital digitally.
The text starts from a structural data: the Desi, the European index that measures digitization, shows a merciless photograph of Italian society. The digital literacy levels remain lower than the continental average in almost all sectors analyzed. 42% of citizens between 16 and 74 years of age have only basic digital skills (given 2021), and less than 4% of employees specialize in ICT areas.
But this volume is not limited to denouncing a delay: the map, historicizes it, seeks its roots. And he elaborates a lexicon and a toolbox to get out of it. In the structure of the book, an architecture is recognized that combines theoretical background and operational suggestions. It begins with the macro frame: digitization as a transversal axis of European politics (the digital compass 2030, Digcomp 2.2, the PNRR) and training as a lever to equip citizens and businesses to manage the transition.
The reflection then continues with an in -depth analysis on continuous learning, on Learning Agility and on what we could call the new “Ecology of Training”: a hybrid environment where they alternate formal, informal and non -formal, between physical classroom and online platforms. The key idea is that digital technologies, if well integrated, can return centrality to the subject who learns and promote cognitive autonomy.
One of the most solid nuclei of the book is the historical reconstruction of digital learning: from the origins of e-learning to the current learning phase “in the workflow”, where knowledge must be accessible at the moment and place of need. The transformation is not only technological, but organizational and cultural: it goes from tayloristic models to structures Boundarylesswith learning understood as a factor of sustainability and innovation.
There is also a punctual reflection on the role of the trainer in the digital ecosystem. The metaphors change: no longer the holder of knowledge, but a facilitator, an architect of the didactic experience, a designer of the hybrid training. The book explores concrete tools such as MOOC, Open Badge, digital credentials, up to the experimental use of the blockchain to certify the paths.
The latest sections focus on the engagement and optimization of training. In the foreground there are the Digital Academy Corporate, Social Learning, Gamification: not superficial approaches, but studied in their theoretical presuppositions and business applications. Finally, a look at emerging technologies – artificial intelligence, big data, metvers, augmented reality – and their training repercussions, with particular attention to ethical problems and systemic effects.
Company training technologies It is a reflection with multiple voices on how to rethink knowledge and work in a society where technology is no longer an accessory, but a condition of existence. His message is clear: without a coherent educational strategy, digital can amplify inequalities. But with the right tools, it can also reduce gaps and democratize access to knowledge.
