On November 6, Camilla Parker Bowles attended events on the sidelines of Remembrance Day. For the Armistice, she pulled out an original outfit.
It was at the Field of Remembrance, near Westminster Abbey in London, that the Queen Consort visited, as tradition dictates. To launch the Armistice commemorations, the wife of Charles III planted a wooden cross in front of a field of artificial poppies. For the occasion, she opted for a look with military accents, including a navy blue officer’s dress, designed by designer Fiona Clare Aldridge. This piece is inspired by the uniform of the Royal Lancers (an armored cavalry regiment of the British army), of which Camilla was appointed Colonel-in-Chief by her husband. We also noted his buttonhole in the shape of a poppy, the flower symbol of this historic event.
Another strong piece worn by Queen Camilla for this outing: a bright red beret, by Irish hat designer Philip Treacy. It was topped with the badge of the Royal Lancers representing a skull and two white and red flags. Concerning the other accessories of her outfit, the 78-year-old Londoner focused on sobriety. We noticed her black leather gloves from the Sermoneta Gloves brand and her Van Cleef & Arpels bracelet that she hasn’t taken off for several months.
It was the “Vintage Alhambra 5 motifs” model decorated with agates, priced at 5,750 euros. It’s a strong look for the British queen who usually wears much simpler outfits.
