Want to modernize your hairstyle? There is a perfect fringe to give it a fresh look.
It’s the ideal hair tip to give your hairstyle an instant facelift. Adopted by trendy girls, this haircut has the rare gift of enhancing all faces while bringing an immediate touch of freshness. According to a hairdressing expert, this stylistic detail is the ideal solution to twist a hairstyle that is a little too conservative and give it a resolutely modern look. Between casual elegance and baby-doll look, this light and ultra desirable bangs will soon be a staple on everyone’s heads. Zoom.
It all starts backstage at the musical “Monte-Cristo, the musical spectacle”, which is currently playing at the Folies Bergères in Paris. Raphaël Perrier, hairdresser to the stars, takes care of the beauty of the show’s actors. On the program? Sculptural wigs, hairstyles from the 1800s with long curls to which the professional wanted to add a more current detail: curtain bangs. “It’s a way to modernize any hairstyle. Typically in current fashion and for two to three years, curtain bangs are really very popular“, explains Justine Gaubert, assistant to Raphaël Perrier. “The idea was to help people project themselves into a world that would be quite close to them. We therefore added fairly natural curtain bangs to the hairstyles, not too pronounced. Obviously, we are going to bring a look from the 1800s to the 2000s and that was very important to us.“A tip that can absolutely be transposed into everyday life and on our faces.
If it is so attractive, it is because curtain bangs are the queen of “tailor-made”. Unlike its straight and strict cousin, it adapts to all face shapes: it softens angular features, structures round faces by sweeping the cheekbones and even elegantly camouflages small wrinkles on the forehead. She bridges the gap between 70s glamor and current trends. The curtain fringe brings fuzziness and lightness. This “combed-disheveled” side is the very essence of contemporary chic. Its little extra? It is easy to style with a round brush and a hairdryer.
The only downside: it requires a trip to the hairdresser every three weeks to freshen it up. If you want to let it grow back, it transforms into a chic gradient! In short, the curtain fringe embodies that natural and relaxed look that we are all looking for in 2026.
