The Swedish giant is back with a new collection of perfumes. And the quality is impressive!
Who said that a perfume had to cost to be qualitative? Certainly not H&M! After an ultra -greedy and successful summer collection, the Swedish giant is back with four new fragrances for the fall which thus enrich the already existing range. They were developed by perfumers of the Firmenich-DSM company, known in particular to work with large houses such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Paco Rabanne, or Margiela. The little extra? They are sold on the site and in H&M stores at a price of € 15.99 per 50 ml, a cost slightly higher than the rest of the selection but always affordable. A boon for perfume lovers, which strengthens the brand’s desire to want to offer accessible beauty.
But a question then arises: is the quality there when the price is also mini? Tree of suspense: the answer is yes. Each creation is formulated with vegan ingredients, and recycled materials. The outfit lasts until eight hours. A real decorative object, the bottles are made in colored glasses and always adorned with pebble caps that have become signing of H&M perfumes. On the smell side, there is something for everyone: spicy, floral, amber and even gourmet. A collection tested and approved by the editorial staff: indeed, where often the perfumes at low prices can be poorly worked and coarse, the chain seems to have made it a point of honor to succeed in its bet. Thus, for each of the creations we can clearly distinguish all the notes of the head, heart and substantive. They leave a delicate scent on the skin, without being heady.
The first perfume, Ruby Touch, is a mixture of jasmine, amber and saffron. White Floral consists of mandarin, peony and white musk, while Pearl Dream contains blueberry, tuberose and cashmere wood. Finally, Mystic Velvet will speak to sweet spins since it is developed with dark chocolate, strawberry and vanilla. If the heart tells you, it is possible to proceed with what is called “layering”, that is to say the superposition of several fragrances in order to obtain a signature odor which belongs to you.
One question remains: how is it possible to combine small price and good quality of perfume? “”We have a very wide palette with good ingredients that allow us to respond to requests like that of H&M. And then, it is also the work of the perfumer to ensure that it is as qualitative as possible“Explained Christel Bergoin, perfumeuse at Firmenich-DSM, explained to us during a previous interview.”It is up to us to play at the best with the quantities to preserve both quality, creativity, and an accessible price.“”
