No need to go to the end of the world for a wedding trip. A study has just unveiled the classification of the most popular destinations with newlyweds, and two European countries are raised in the Top 3.
The honeymoon has changed well. If the couples chose to leave almost immediately after the wedding, this is no longer really the case. Most of the newlyweds are waiting for the right season, and after the organization of reception, they prefer to breathe a little and take the time to plan the journey of their dream, while saving. Some couples also choose short periods to escape for a weekend rather than a stay from one to two weeks. And according to a study conducted in the United States by Journo Research, the most distant destinations are not necessarily the most popular.
By analyzing the research typed on Google with the keyword “honeymoon” and tourist places, a classification of the favorite destinations of the newlyweds could be established. We still find, in first position, Hawaii, with an average of more than 12,000 research. Heavenly beaches, lush nature and volcanoes make it a flagship destination for honey moons. As for the Maldives, Bali or the Caribbean, these tourist places arrive after two European countries. Indeed, Greece and its islands are in second position in the ranking, with more than 8,000 clicks per month, and Italy is positioned third, equally with Bora Bora. The dolce vità attracts lovers, especially on the Amalfitaine coast. Other places located in Italy are particularly popular for their romantic and chic side, such as Tuscanne, Venice, Lake Côme or even Puglia.
“Whether it is the beautiful beaches of Hawaii, the cultural richness of Greece and Italy or the isolated luxury of Bora Bora, these results provide valuable information both to travel agents and to couples who are independently planning their honeymoon” commented the Mark Broumand jewelry brand for which the study was carried out.
