“They are still very sensitive …”

Jérémy Frérot, guest on the set of the show Kindergartens XXLconfided in open heart. Currently in full promotion of his third solo album, Kidsthe 35-year-old singer played the show of the show by tackling his family life, and his relationship with his ex-partner and mother of his two children, Laure Manaudou.

What did they tell you when you made them listen to?”asked Marie Portolano, the presenter of the program, to the singer, in reference, to her magnificent title Farewell. To which Lou, 8, and Sacha, 4, who admits “Having made two children to have two friends”replied most naturally in the world: “We haven’t talked so much about it. I think they are still very sensitive to music, on what it creates them at home. I know they know what it is about, but …”.

And it is up to him to complete: “I often listen to the songs I just created in the car (…) They are often behind, and so I hear them: I hear them chatting on the song, I hear them rhythm, I hear them singing, and it’s a good test. And so they were rather touched by music than by what was written”.

In the process, the former member of the Frérot Delavega said: “They understand, they know. We have already discussed it, but the first times they heard this song are the music that touched them”. As a couple since 2015, Jérémy Frérot and Laure Manaudou were married in 2018, before finally divorce in 2024.

A separation that they had managed to explain the most simply of the world to their two boys as explained by Jérémy Frérot in another public service program, A Sunday in the countryside :: “Dad and mom will become friends, they will no longer be but we will love you just as much. You will always be the center”.
