In addition to the Cévennes, a region where he settled down a few years ago with his small family, the 43 -year -old singer has a particular attachment to the Vésubie valley.

“My grandmother has a chalet in the Alpes-Maritimes”explained the man who was discovered by the public in 2007 in the fifth edition of The New Star On M6. “The Vésubie valley where since childhood I liked to go to contact not only snow, but also forests and mountains, much higher than in Cévennes, where I liked walking, I liked to discover in the snow a trace of wolf’s paw”.
Particularly nostalgic, Julien Doré then remembered: “I loved this world, this imagination so much that for the album called ‘Esperluette’ I spent several months there to write, compose and record songs there”. “I ski when I was a child but I stopped far too long to have the courage to regain skiing. But there is a great ski resort in this valley called the Colmiane”he added by searching in his memories.

True to its values and commitments, in particular climatic, Julien Doré also wanted to send a message to the inhabitants of the Alpes-Maritimes valleys, affected by a storm of magnitude, and devastating floods, in 2020. “I kiss all the inhabitants of the Vésubie valley and all those who fought after the storm Alex to bring life not only to this valley, but also to other valleys. I think of the Roya valley in particular. It was an extremely difficult episode for the Alpes-Maritimes and for these valleys (…) They know that I do not forget them”he said on the radio.
In 2020, Julien Doré, who blew his 43rd candle on July 7, was also committed to the victims of the region. The father of a little boy born in 2021 had imagined a raffle in partnership with the Secours Populaire who had then enabled him to harvest nearly a million euros.
