The owners are a couple in their thirties, first-time buyers. From their first visit, they were able to see the potential of this two-story house, located in L’Haÿ-les-Roses. With a generous surface area of 100 m², beautiful light and an exterior, the property had many advantages. They were not afraid to take on major work, because their partner works in the construction sector. And fortunately, because everything had to be redone: complete repair of the framework, exterior joinery, walls and attics. It was also necessary to review the distribution of the parts which was not very coherent. They wanted to keep two bedrooms upstairs and have a real bathroom which was, for the moment, on the lower level, with the living room and the kitchen. On the ground floor, the space was too partitioned, they wanted to open everything up. For this vast project, they called on the Améo Concept team.
A plan in line with customer needs
On the ground floor, their wish was to decompartmentalize everything and to do this, they had to break a load-bearing wall. The Améo Concept design office studied the matter with precision and seriousness. As there was a basement underneath, it was necessary to provide a very solid repair for it to hold. The old bathroom (on the same level as the living rooms) has been transformed into a multi-purpose space, which can be used as both an office and a spare bedroom. The room is very bright as it overlooks the garden and designed for Madame, an artist. This place had to remain open while being able to be closed, hence the installation of a custom glass roof. The couple also had a clear idea of the style of kitchen they wanted, in dark tones. And it is precisely this style that served as a common thread for the decoration of the entire ground floor. Upstairs, two elegant bedrooms have been fitted out, one of which has an office space for Mr. The old storage room with water point has been transformed into a spacious bathroom, it is much more practical to have it near the bedrooms. And the attic has been converted to provide a spacious and functional dressing room. Thanks to this ambitious renovation project, the house has regained all its character and has been modernized to offer optimal comfort to its new occupants.
