It was a fashion characteristic of the 90s. But today the wheel turned. Now, not only do celebrities carry supporters, but they put them forward.
This is the trend of recent months. And you have to admit, we saw it coming! First of all, with the return of the legendary Victoria’s Secret parade. Following this event, which was held on October 15, 2024, the Instagram account @databutmakeitfashion found a 400 % increase in interest in Push-Up support.
We then saw it a lot on the podiums of the big houses: Patou, Balenciaga, Chanel, Dior … The bras were presented sometimes under jackets, sometimes under transparent tops. It is therefore only a daily practical underwear, but the centerpiece of the outfit. And with the festival season, the moment could not be better chosen.
Indeed, in the heat and glitter of many concerts and events, celebrities and fashionistas decide to wear only a bra or a bra as high. This is the case of Rihanna, Rita Ora, Hailey Bieber, the Kardashian clan, but also Céline Dion, who set foot on the streets of Paris in 2017 with a black combination revealing her bra.
Some even dare it on the red carpet! We remember, for example, Louise Bourgoin who wore a transparent Ganni dress in Cannesières last April. But also from Kristen Stewart, the same month during the Sacramento premiere in Los Angeles.
This trend would therefore be international and particularly practical in summer when you don’t want to wear anything.
