At 45, Apolline de Malherbe has become an essential face of news on the small screen. However, his primary vocation had nothing to do with television or journalism…

Since 2020, Apolline de Malherbe has been in charge of the morning show Apolline Morning on the RMC group channels. Also a presenter on BFMTV, this mother of four children – born from two different unions and aged 5 to 19 – has a flourishing career.

Apolline de Malherbe businesswoman? “We had created our fictitious brand”

However, the 45-year-old journalist has not always seen her life through a television screen. The one who today shares her life with the psychoanalyst and former communications advisor, Harold Hauzy, even confided on this subject to our colleagues at Gala. The very first job she dreamed of doing? Stylist! A world more glamorous than that of journalism. “With one of my friends named Aude, we created our fictitious brand, ‘Aposaude Compagny'”she told the magazine.

And the one who notably holds a master’s degree in sociology from Sciences Po specifies: “I drew the models and she took care of the colors. I’ve remained a little girly, but every time I go on a shopping trip to buy clothes, I mostly come home with things for my children.”

Apolline de Malherbe and her first relationships with the world of television

Daughter of a painter and gallery owner, Apolline de Malherbe was not at all predestined for a career as a television journalist. She watched very little television when she was a child. “I only watched TV in the summer, when I went on vacation to my grandparents. I was a big fan of Intervilles, with a fascination for Léon Zitrone, capable of going from an interview with the Queen of England to refereeing games with the cows”she admitted.

Moreover, his first appearance on television was somewhat late: “I did my first TV duplex during the 2008 municipal elections. I was then a programmer and I volunteered to cover election night. I found myself in the Neuilly village hall, a big red scarf around my neck because I was very cold, screaming to make myself heard.”
