If Gérard Jugnot is one of the French’s favorite actors, he nonetheless remains a discreet man who prefers the south of France to the hustle and bustle of Paris. Thirty years ago, he even found a welcome home in his image.
Since April 1st, Gérard Jugnot has been featured in Bad Pickaxea story freely inspired by that of Guy Joao, a 70-year-old man confused with Xavier Dupont de Ligonnès in 2019. A comedy by, and with Gérard Jugnot, described by our colleagues atAllocinated as being his “best film”.
Gérard Jugnot bad navigator? “It fits but sometimes it hits a little…”
For several weeks, the 74-year-old actor has been on TV sets and other radio studios to promote his film. But, as soon as he can, he will return to his haven of peace located in the Var. Moreover, he confided to the microphone of France Inter that he had a “small boat” that he “drives very badly”. Guest on the show Zoom Zoom Zen by Mathieu Noël, the former Splendid had the joy of discovering an audio message left by his friend and colleague Philipe Lacheau… Who tackled him on his way of sailing!
“Above all, don’t go on a boat with this gentleman”launched the French actor, adding that Gérard Jugnot was “very proud” of his machine and that he was going “very quickly without looking in front of him”. “I’ve had a small boat for 30 years, I’ve been driving it very badly for 30 years…”continued the principal concerned. “When there is error, it’s a kind of small deviation, it’s very complicated”he then justified himself. Before adding muttering: “Luckily in the port I have a small place between two boats, so I slip in. But sometimes I’m a little impressed, there are people looking at me, so I put in a little too much speed and boom…”. And to conclude: “It fits but sometimes it
knocks a little…”.
Gérard Jugnot: this “absolutely beautiful place” where he put his bags
A little pleasure that the ex Bronzé takes advantage of when he leaves the capital to find himself at home, on the Giens peninsula. A land of adoption for this Parisian by birth who also informed our colleagues of Neo TV that his favorite corner of France was indeed the Var: “On the Brégançon side, there is Port-Cros. It’s an absolutely magnificent place, out of time (…) It’s a national park, so there are lots of fish. I have a small boat and it’s a place where I go and which calms me down”.
Arthur Jugnot’s father even bought a sublime property there more than thirty years ago! It is also in this region of the Var that he is now enjoying a well-deserved retirement, which he takes full advantage of between sea trips and moments of peace. “A magnificent villa, located on the heights of the peninsula, perhaps even on the highest point”according to a regular of the place who confided in Purepeople. “It’s not easy to get to his house: there are very steep dirt roads on which he traveled with a Méhari, which allowed him to go everywhere…”he even clarified.
