You have neither good for sale nor real estate purchase in view? No problem. There is a stupid tip aimed at pocket several hundred euros, from the moment you know a person wishing to put their house or apartment on sale. An aunt, a neighbor, a colleague, whatever! If you put the agency at the time, you can pocket up to 1000 euros, legally.
This little boost is based on a simple principle: the recommendation. A method that certain real estate agencies, as on the particular side, have decided to supervise and reward. Alexis Eliard, director of the Valognes agency in the Channel, explains: “Any natural person can use the sponsorship system.” It is therefore not necessary to be a customer of the agency, or even to be part of his close entourage. Anyone can participate, provided that some rules are respected. The idea is to play the intermediary. Either by advising the agency to a person who wishes to sell, or by directly transmitting the contact details of this person to the agency.
Logic is based on confidence. And it works. In Valognes, one property in four sold by the agency comes directly from a recommendation. “The idea of sponsorship is to make the agency known even more through word of mouth, in a climate of confidence, with a premium for the person who gives contact and who arouses a desire to give other contacts”, continues the director. Just have the right pipe at the right time, the agency takes care of the rest.
In the event of effective connection, a form is to be completed. It contains the contact details of the godfather, those of the person who sells, and of course the address of the property in question. Nothing more. The agency then takes care of follow -up, visits, papers. The premium is paid at the time of the sale, on the day of signing the act. “It is the agency which, once paid by the notary, pays the business contributor”specifies Alexis Eliard.
So how much can we hope to pocket? The amounts can vary slightly from one real estate agency to another, but at the Particular side the godfather receives 300 euros for a sale price acted between 0 and 200,000 euros, 500 euros for a sale price acted between 201,000 and 500,000 euros and 1,000 euros for a sale price acted at more than 500,000 euros. In short, a good deal especially in areas where the real estate market is very intense and multiple possibilities like in Paris, Lyon, Bordeaux or Nantes.
