Welcome to the Endoume district of Marseille. This is where this small sea view apartment was revised and corrected in its entirety. On the kitchen side, the space has also changed!
Completely redesigned, this 37 m² Marseille finally comes back to life. Impossible not to want to put your suitcases there, for summer or longer. It all starts with Magda Mietka and Laura Dailey Marques, longtime friends and founders of Celeste Design Studio. Just installed in Marseille, they access the request of Rachel McCarthy, photographer from California and friend of Laura. His project: Transforming an old raw apartment into a chic and bright cocoon, the atmosphere of the sea modernized in addition.
The good is located in the highly sought-after district of Endoume, on the ground floor and first floor of an old classified building. Upon their arrival, Magda and Laura discover a dark space, poorly arranged, with a massive mezzanine, an outdated red kitchen and poorly placed toilets. In short, everything is to be reviewed. In only seven weeks and with a budget of 50,000 euros (including 30,000 for work, 10,000 for materials and 10,000 for decoration), the place is transformed. Natural light, soft atmosphere and purified color palette give all the airs of a holiday home, without any snapshot.
Projector on the kitchen, which is unrecognizable. Indeed, nothing has been kept. More than old -fashioned with this red color that is no longer done, the original cuisine only asked to be transformed, but it probably did not expect to be so much!
Rachel absolutely wanted a real sleeping area here, which is separated and where two people could sleep comfortably … It is now done! Dated and without charm, the old kitchen has given way to a room full of sweetness and style. Head of wave headboard imagined tailor-made, small marble shelves signed H&M Home transformed into floating hair, cushion shell in loop wool … Each detail is neat, and the result is simply irresistible.
Finally, on the left all of the kitchen was an unusual closet. Instead, a laundry niche dressed in blue now welcomes the washing machine. Hidden behind a simple white curtain, it fits perfectly while remaining discreet. Like what, good ideas and a little budget can sometimes do miracles!
