This couple in their thirties wanted to leave Paris after the Covid period to go green. She is a well-known influencer with a wide following on the networks: Daphné Moreau. Specializing in fashion and lifestyle, she has an appetite for decoration and appreciates original pieces. This network star knows Constance Delaux well, with whom she was at college. It was therefore quite naturally to her friend that she turned to help her find the property of her dreams and arrange it according to her tastes. The couple fell under the spell of this spacious 185 m² house in a private residence with a garden overlooking a golf course. However, this property had a flaw. “It was a new house, recent from the 90s-2000s, which had no charm and the aim was precisely to make it a charming property, in the Anglo-Saxon countryside”confides the architect. And this is how she did it.
Warm up by providing roundness and with colors close to nature
This house was sorely lacking in warmth with its very modern style. To warm up the atmosphere, Constance Delaux played on the curves which were a real common thread in this property. Once free of its partitions, the kitchen was integrated into the living room with tiled floors and a ceiling with rounded corners. The corridor, which leads to the bedroom area, is shaped like an arch with a dark wall at the end. This layout brings perspective and a touch of elegance to this very functional part of the house. These arches are also present in the entrance furniture and around the fireplace. She also focused on colors close to plants: soft green, earth tones, sand and even camel. Ultimately, this property exudes a gentle tranquility with its subtle reminders of the surrounding nature. A real country house as we like them.
