Too ordinary for its new owners, this bedroom with its adjoining dressing room is now worthy of a hotel and very well thought out.
Here we are on the 5th floor of a Parisian building from the 1930s in Montmartre. If each space seemed to be in the right place, access and circulation, as well as the decoration of the premises could be drastically improved. Also, the apartment was sorely lacking in storage… Being frequent travelers, the new owners of this property were looking for an architect who would be able to satisfy their desires for a hotel-style interior. And so it was quite natural that the couple who were going to live here turned to Thibaut Picard, who worked in the luxury hotel industry for almost ten years. At the end of this 60 m², the sleeping area was made up of a bedroom of a good size, certainly, but not very optimized, if not at all, it was also very dark and bare. Originally, the dressing room was separate and access to it was from the corridor, which lacked functionality for Thibaut Picard’s clients.
Like the sleeping area of the apartment which was not very desirable, the dressing room, independent, was arranged without any real thought and this, you will see, was going to change a lot! By positioning the bed facing the window and no longer next to it, the amount of light is now increased tenfold. And this allowed Thibaut Picard to create a boxed dressing room that was very discreet, which was what his clients wanted.
Dressed in pink, the couple’s sleeping area has everything you need where you need it! In addition to the dressing room, the architect also opened the bathroom to the bedroom, further reinforcing the hotel suite atmosphere. Depending on the brightness throughout the day, the Coral Pink tone (S64 from Ressource) of this flagship piece fluctuates and leaves no one indifferent.
Another singularity to note here: the elegant headboard, made up of 3D wall panels (Pattern W108 Zigzag from Orac Décor) which punctuates the wall with style. During the day, the Jube wall light from Vistosi diffuses a pretty light when, at nightfall, the Fuse reading light from Astro takes over. All that’s left to do is order a good meal from room service and you’ll believe it, right?
