Marine Leonardi, rising stand-up star, is hiding some secrets. Did you know what job she did before going on stage?
At 35, Marine Leonardi is a rising name in the world of humor in France. Still little known to the general public, the young woman previously had a much more “serious” job. Today, the comedian is on tour throughout France with his show entitled Bad Seedand she will be at the Olympia in Paris from December 10 to 13, 2026.
What did Marine Leonardi do before launching into humor?
Before leaving everything behind for stand-up in 2023, comedian Marine Leonardi lived a completely different professional life. She first had a star-studded academic career and notably shone at ESSEC, a prestigious Parisian business school, which is one of the most renowned in France and in Europe.
She then joined the Carrefour Immobilier teams. She therefore traveled throughout Ile-de-France as a financial analyst, before gradually becoming the right-hand woman of the CEO of Shiseido, a luxurious Japanese cosmetics brand. His role in the company? Manage large-scale projects in the group and ensure the proper functioning of the teams! We imagine that she had no time for fun at the office…
“When I see how much it speaks to all women”
Originally from Metz, the woman who is also a columnist for France Inter has a busy life, between an increasing number of professional projects and an intense family life. This mother of two little girls, Joséphine (6 years old) and Thelia (2 years old), is also very active on social networks where she often plays with her husband, Alix… Whose face she has never shown! A true uninhibited mother on her social networks, where she is followed by 966,000 people, she is much more stressed in her daily life.
“When I see, on the networks, how much it speaks to all women, I have the impression that this race to occupy one’s children as best as possible transcends social circles. I try not to be like that, but the truth is that I follow the movement: I enroll my children in lots of workshops because we have such a range of possibilities that we no longer really know what is good for them”she said in an interview with the newspaper The World last April.
