The third party allowance is intended to finance a person’s assistance for the realization of several daily acts (washing, going to bed, dressing …).
The PCRTP or additional service for the use of a third party is a sum intended to finance the assistance of a person to help you perform ordinary acts of everyday life. You can perceive it, under conditions. Its amount varies according to your assistance needs.
Definition: What is the third party allowance (PCRTP)?
Since March 1, 2013, the complementary service to recourse to third person (PCRTP) has replaced the increase for third person. Intended for people in an inability, it aims to allocate a sum to help you pay for help at home assistance.
What are the conditions to benefit from the PCRTP?
There are 3 conditions to be fulfilled to benefit from it:
- Already perceive an annuity for permanent inability due to an accident at work or an occupational disease
- Have an inability rate of at least 80%
- Need a third party, because you cannot perform at least 3 ordinary acts of daily life, or, in cases of dangerous neuropsychic disorders for you or for others, you are also concerned.
The medical adviser of the health insurance fund on which you depend determines, thanks to an appreciation grid of 10 acts of daily life, if you have difficulty achieving it alone at least 3 and if, from then, you need someone’s help. Among the routine gestures is: getting up and going to bed, moving to your accommodation, eating and drinking, dressing and undressing completely, doing your needs …
If the CPAM consulting doctor considers that you need the help of a third person, you have no approach to do: it is the CPAM or the MSA who takes care of it.
What is the amount of the PCRTP?
The amounts in force in 2025 are:
- For the assistance required at 3 or 4 daily acts: € 644.03 per month
- For 5 or 6 acts: € 1,288.09 per month
- For 7 acts or more, or in case of neuropsychic disorders presenting a danger: € 1,932.17 per month
The payment is made by the CPAM. The 1st payment occurs, as the case may be: on the date of filing the request for service, on the same date of the annuity if you collect one, on the date of revision of the rent or from the day of the observation, by the doctor, of the inability of the insured to accomplish the tasks of daily life.
In what cases what does the payment of the PCRTP end?
The payment is stopped if:
► You are hospitalized. It will resume when you get out of the hospital.
► You no longer meet the award conditions
