We adults look around and try dismay. What is happening everywhere in the world? Superfluous question.
Then they come to them, the young people from the most diverse parts of the world, to pierce the dark cloud we have in the heart.
Not even them are naive, it is clear, they also follow daily news, they know well what is happening, and they are afraid of their present and their future.
Then we look, parents, educators and educators, trainers and trainers, parish priests, priests and religious and they would like to see in our eyes – at least in ours – on the expressions of our face, trust and encouragementbecause even the great hope for hope, they risk getting lost.
What will we say to the hundreds of thousands of girls and boys in these days of Jubilee dedicated to them? To all those who wanted to be there, in Rome, bringing friends and friends in their hearts who have not been able to leave.
We cannot combine them with words of circumstance, they notice it.
We can’t do forbid sermons, they don’t know what to do with it. Or in -waned them with training to transmit formal content. They would desert the squares.
We would like to be for the boys and girls we see walking, crowding the metro, finding themselves in a group (which incredible scenarios) those appearances that help to believe that there is a place in life and in the Church for each of them. That place called “home” where you can be yourself in fullness.
Fully men and fully women.
The word “happiness” does not represent a luxury of modern society. Pope Francis has enabled us to use it in the most Christian sense of the term.
“You don’t live together to be less and less happy, but to learn to be happy newly“(AL, n. 232).
It is a very clear invitation not to settle for alive, not to understand the meaning of the cross and sacrifice as a kind of lame existence or made of fears. Rather, it is a relaunch of the Gospel in the key of human fullness: find the place, the road where you can express the best of you. There will of Godthis expression so widespread, but also strangely understood, is the full self -realization. How to say: in this Strada the heart, love, expands to the utmost possible. Elsewhere, some pieces would remain excluded.
The vocation is not the fulfillment of a mandate that comes from above. Where a god manager decides who has to do whatand as at school at the time of the question, the head bends to go unnoticed, it is never the Lord to call me!
We do not hide, the current time is soon, but what a sense could have a jubilee if not to say: The place for you is there. It will be improved, refinement the character, try to cross the border of fear, but The place for you is there.
If someone tells you that you have to leave of the pieces of you away from homeis simply not home. If someone thinks they see what the place is for you, before you, or Despite you, it’s not home.
Bring patience, wait, because at a certain moment that place is located. She is a girl, a boy, the door of a seminar, of a community, a fraternal experience, who knows.
That we adults know how to respect each other’s times and steps, we know how to be those authentic, honest, reassuring appearances that listen, welcome, help to trace unpublished paths, to everyone.
