A business woman with crazy class: this is the fashion spirit assumed by Vanessa Paradis who swapped dresses and other delicate pieces for a more frank ensemble.
Vanessa Paradis is on the cover of the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar France. The singer dared to wear a very chic outfit with an androgynous style that she sublimates to perfection, once again proving her audacity in terms of fashion.
It was as part of her return to the stage and the release of her new album Le Retour des beaux-jours, after eight years of absence, that Vanessa Paradis posed for this April cover story. For this number 32 of the French edition of the fashion magazine, the star focused on sobriety. Smiling, standing in front of a plain white background: the singer radiates beauty. For her look, stylist Élodie David designed a masculine-style ensemble marked by surprising pieces. Thus, Vanessa Paradis wore a cotton shirt from Charvet, a French expert in exceptional shirts. A vintage leather tie brought a chic and assertive touch to his silhouette, reinforcing the resolutely androgynous look of the whole.
Because she is one of Chanel’s iconic ambassadors, Vanessa Paradis also wore two pieces signed by the French luxury house. We first noticed her woolen cloth jacket with its timeless houndstooth print. If it seemed short, this piece featured long sleeves and carefully crafted shoulder pads, giving a structured build to the frail blonde.
Johnny Depp’s ex was also dressed in white denim pants whose button represented the two famous “C” in reference to Coco Chanel.
By combining this casual garment with more refined elements, Vanessa Paradis offers herself, at 53, an androgynous look that plays wonderfully with fashion codes.
